DJI Avata Pro-View Combo (DJI Goggles 2) BNF Copters Version 4S Size 3" Style Cinewhoop
The Avata is DJI’s second major FPV release, focusing on a "cinewhoop" design with built-in prop guards that make it much safer for indoor or close-proximity flying. Unlike custom drones, this is packed with GPS, return-to-home, and sensors that allow it to hover perfectly in place if you take your hands off the sticks.
Dead Simple Controls: The included Motion Controller is intuitive. If you point it left, the drone goes left. It’s designed to get beginners in the air immediately, though seasoned pilots will likely want to add the DJI FPV Remote Controller 2 later for full manual "Acro" stunts.
Goggles 2 Tech: These are a huge step up from the previous V2 goggles. They use Micro-OLED screens that are sharper, smaller, and have built-in diopter adjustment, so most people who wear glasses can fly without them.
RockSteady & HorizonSteady: DJI’s onboard stabilization does the heavy lifting. You don't need a GoPro on top to get smooth footage; the internal 4K camera handles the shakes and keeps the horizon level automatically.
Durable Build: The "ducted" design means you can bump into walls or branches and usually just bounce off. If it does end up upside down on the ground, "Turtle Mode" can flip it back over so you can take off again without walking to pick it up.
Weight: 410g (with battery)
FC & ESC: DJI Proprietary
Motors: DJI 2306.5 (Custom)
Propellers: DJI 5-blade 2.9-inch
VTX: DJI O3+ Digital Transmission
Camera: 1/1.7" CMOS, 48MP, f/2.8
Receiver: DJI Internal (Link to Motion Controller or Remote 2)
Recommended Battery: DJI Avata Intelligent Flight Battery (2420 mAh)
Flight Time: ~18 minutes (Hover) / ~10-12 minutes (Real-world flying)
The "Yawsome" Issue: If you try to pull a very sharp turn at high speed in manual mode, the Avata has a tendency to "wash out" or tumble because of its top-heavy design and duct physics. It's a cinematic cruiser, not a high-speed racer.
Loud Profile: For a small drone, it's surprisingly loud. The high-pitched scream of the 5-blade props in the ducts will definitely turn heads, so don't expect to be "stealthy" in a quiet neighborhood.
Battery Cost: Unlike the cheap Li-ions or LiPos we've discussed, DJI batteries are expensive. You'll likely want the "Fly More Kit" eventually, but be prepared to pay a premium for that "intelligent" tech.
