Product Description

The BetaFPV Pavo30 HD Digital is a 3-inch pusher cinewhoop that takes the concepts of the smaller Beta95X and scales them up for better outdoor performance and larger camera payloads. It’s a "meat and potatoes" cinewhoop—reliable, durable, and punchy.

  • Pusher Configuration for Stability: By mounting the motors upside down (pusher style), the Pavo30 clears the airflow over the wings and props, providing a more stable flight platform. This design also centers the gravity of the battery and camera, making the drone feel more balanced and predictable during cinematic maneuvers.

  • Rugged PA12 Material: The frame is injection-molded from PA12 (Nylon), which offers superior abrasion resistance and toughness. This "bouncy" frame can survive significant impacts that would shatter traditional carbon fiber ducts, making it a great choice for high-risk proximity flying.

  • Caddx Vista Digital System: Equipped with the Caddx Vista (standard O3/Digital compatible) and Nebula Nano camera, it provides a 720p/60fps HD feed. While compact, the Vista unit still offers up to 700mW of output power for reliable signal penetration through walls and obstacles.

  • Versatile Camera Support: The Pavo30 is powerful enough to carry a variety of cameras. While it includes a dedicated power cable for the SMO 4K, it can easily handle a Naked GoPro or even a full-size GoPro for simple cinematic cruising.

The Pilot's Reality Check:

  • Momentum Management: Because it's a 3-inch whoop carrying a digital system and a 4S battery, it has more "wash out" in tight corners than a 2-inch whoop. You’ll need to lead your turns with a bit more throttle to combat the momentum.

  • Repair Complexity: While the frame is incredibly durable, working on the electronics can be tedious. There are over 10 tiny screws of different sizes that need to be removed to access the AIO or VTX, so keep a magnetized parts tray handy!

🤔 Frequently Asked Questions
  • What is the benefit of the "pusher" design on the Pavo30?

The pusher design (inverted motors) helps in two ways: first, it pushes the "wash" of the propellers away from the drone's body, which provides a more stable and efficient flight. Second, it allows the battery and camera to sit lower and closer to the center of gravity. This makes the drone feel more "locked in" and less like it's swinging a heavy weight around during turns.

  • Can this drone carry a full-sized GoPro?

It can, but it's really optimized for "Naked" GoPros (stripped down for weight) or the SMO 4K camera. If you put a full-sized GoPro Hero 12 on it, the drone will feel quite heavy and sluggish. For the best flight performance and to get that "pro" cinematic feel, most pilots stick to a camera weighing under 50g.

  • How tough is the "PA12" frame?

PA12 is a type of nylon that is much more durable than standard plastic. It’s designed to be "bouncy." In a crash, the frame absorbs the impact rather than snapping. This is the "asjalik" choice for pilots who want to fly close to obstacles or indoors without worrying that every little bump will end their day.

  • What battery should I use for the best flight time?

The "sweet spot" is a 4S (14.8V) 750mAh to 850mAh battery with an XT30 connector. With this setup and no heavy camera, you can get about 6 to 8 minutes of flight time. If you add a camera, expect that to drop to around 4–5 minutes, which is standard for a 3-inch cinewhoop.

  • Which digital system does it use, and is it compatible with the Goggles 3?

The Pavo30 HD typically comes with the Caddx Vista (Nebula Nano) system. While this was originally designed for the DJI FPV Goggles V2, it can work with Goggles 2 and Goggles Integra. However, as of now, it is not natively compatible with the Goggles 3 unless you are using the newer O3 or O4 Air Units. Always check which VTX is installed before buying!
