The BetaFPV Pavo25 HD Digital is a specialized 2.5-inch pusher cinewhoop that prioritizes agility and indoor safety. Built with a durable PA12 frame and the Caddx Vista digital system, it is engineered for smooth, high-definition proximity flying through tight gaps where 3-inch drones are too bulky, making it a favorite for real estate and indoor event videography.

Product Description

The BetaFPV Pavo25 HD Digital is the refined, compact alternative to the Pavo30. It’s a 2.5-inch pusher cinewhoop designed to be more maneuverable in tight spaces while still having the "muscle" to carry a digital VTX and a naked action camera.

  • Innovative Pusher Frame: Like its larger siblings, the Pavo25 uses a "pusher" configuration (motors upside down). This allows the propellers to act on undisturbed air, increasing efficiency and providing a more stable center of gravity for smoother cinematic footage.

  • PA12 Reinforced Construction: The frame is made of high-quality injection-molded PA12, offering excellent crash resistance. The frame also features an integrated copper nut design for the main screws, making it much more durable and easier to maintain than frames that screw directly into plastic.

  • Optimized Digital Integration: Designed specifically to house the Caddx Vista HD system. Despite its small size, the frame layout provides enough airflow to keep the digital VTX cool during flight, ensuring a consistent 720p HD feed without thermal dropouts.

  • User-Friendly Assembly: The Pavo25 features a "three-bolt" structure for the frame and ducts. This allows you to disassemble the drone quickly for repairs or cleaning, which is a significant improvement over previous micro-whoop designs that required removing dozens of screws.

The Pilot's Reality Check:

  • The Weight-to-Thrust Ratio: Because the Pavo25 is quite heavy for a 2.5-inch drone (due to the Vista and the 4S battery), it has a lot of "inertia." It isn't a freestyle machine; it's designed for slow, deliberate cinematic lines. Expect a bit of "prop wash" if you try to pull out of high-speed dives too aggressively.

  • Propeller Selection: The Gemfan D63 props are great for cinematic smoothness, but they are relatively loud compared to 2-inch whoops. If you are flying in noise-sensitive environments, keep your throttle low to stay "under the radar."

🤔 Frequently Asked Questions
  • How is the Pavo25 different from the Pavo30 we just looked at?

The Pavo25 is more compact (108mm–112mm wheelbase vs 118mm). Because it uses smaller 2.5-inch props, it’s noticeably quieter and more maneuverable in tight indoor spaces. While the Pavo30 is better for "heavy" cinematic cruising outdoors, the Pavo25 is the "asjalik" choice for "real estate" style fly-throughs where you need to fit through window frames or under chairs.

  • Can it handle the weight of the DJI O3 or O4 Air Unit?

The original Pavo25 was built for the Caddx Vista, but the newer Pavo25 V2 was redesigned specifically to handle the heavier DJI O3/O4 units. It features a CNC aluminum "Y-shape" standoff that acts as a heat sink and a structural brace, preventing the frame from twisting under the weight of the bigger digital units.

  • Does it suffer from "jello" in the video footage?

BetaFPV updated the camera mount with a specialized rubber damping system. On smaller 2.5-inch drones, motor vibrations are often higher frequency, which can ruin high-definition video. This damping system "soaks up" those vibes, so your 4K footage stays smooth without needing heavy post-processing like ReelSteady or Gyroflow for every single clip.

  • I see a "COB LED Strip" mentioned—is that just for looks?

Mostly, yes—it looks like a neon "halo" around the ducts. However, it’s actually very helpful for "Line of Sight" flying or for a spotter to keep track of you in a dark warehouse. On the V2, you can even toggle these lights on and off from a switch on your remote, which is a nice "asjalik" touch for saving battery when you don't need the extra flair.

  • How hard is it to work on this drone if I break something?

It’s remarkably simple. The whole duct assembly and frame are held together by only 6 screws. If you crack a duct or need to get to the flight controller, you don't have to disassemble the entire drone like you do on older cinewhoops. You can have the "guts" exposed in about 60 seconds.
