The Walksnail Avatar VRX is a standalone digital receiver designed to bring the Walksnail Avatar HD system to almost any existing FPV goggles with an HDMI input. It is the most cost-effective way for pilots with analog goggles (like Fat Shark or ORQA) to transition into high-definition digital video without buying a whole new headset.
Universal HDMI Compatibility: The VRX outputs a digital signal via a Mini HDMI port. This means it works with the Fat Shark HDO series, ORQA FPV.One, and even many computer monitors or ground station screens, provided they support HDMI input.
1080p/60fps & 720p/100fps: The receiver supports multiple resolution modes. You can choose 1080p for maximum cinematic detail or switch to 720p/100fps for a high-frame-rate experience that provides the ultra-low latency required for racing and aggressive freestyle.
H.265 Encoding & Canvas Mode: Utilizing advanced H.265 compression, the VRX delivers a clear image even at lower bitrates. It also supports Canvas Mode, allowing you to see your full Betaflight OSD (On-Screen Display) just like you would on an analog system.
Lightweight External Mount: The VRX is designed to be mounted to the front of your goggles using a bracket or adhesive. At only 83g, it adds minimal weight to your headset while providing a massive upgrade in visual quality.

The Pilot's Reality Check:
HDMI Latency: While the Walksnail system itself is low-latency, your goggles' HDMI processing can add a few milliseconds of "input lag." For most cinematic and freestyle pilots, this is unnoticeable, but hardcore racers may prefer integrated goggles like the HDO3.
Cable Management: Since this is an external module, you will have a power cable and an HDMI cable running to your goggles. Using a "shorty" HDMI cable and a clean power loop is highly recommended to keep your setup tidy.
