The GEPRC Naked Camera GP9 is a professional-grade modification of the GoPro Hero 9 Black, stripped down to its essential components to save weight for FPV drones. By removing the heavy waterproof housing, internal battery, and standard frame, GEPRC has reduced the weight by over 70%, making it possible to carry a full-sized GoPro sensor on micro cinewhoops.
Ultra-Lightweight Design: At just 46.7g, it is nearly 110g lighter than a standard GoPro Hero 9. This weight reduction drastically improves the flight performance, battery life, and agility of your drone.
Superior Cooling: One of the main issues with "naked" cameras is overheating. GEPRC solved this by integrating a high-precision CNC aluminum front plate that acts as a heatsink and adding a miniature cooling fan that allows for continuous recording for over 40 minutes.
Integrated BEC Module: The camera features a built-in BEC (Battery Eliminator Circuit) that supports a wide 2S-6S LiPo input. This means you can power the camera directly from your drone’s flight battery via the balance lead, eliminating the need for an internal camera battery.
Reliable Connection: Unlike many DIY naked GoPro kits, GEPRC uses a stable FPC flexible cable to connect the BEC module to the motherboard, preventing "power-off" issues caused by the vibrations of FPV flight.
User-Friendly Interface: It retains the front LCD screen for monitoring parameters and supports QR code scanning to quickly switch shooting modes or link to the GoPro Quik app on your phone.

The Pilot's Reality Check:
Fragility: Because this camera is "naked," it lacks the ruggedness of a standard GoPro. The lens and internal boards are more exposed, so using the included UV filter is non-negotiable for protection.
Power Warning: Never reverse the positive and negative power supply when connecting the balance lead, as this will instantly fry the camera's delicate motherboard.
